Design, Animation, and Generosity: Alexpress Comes to Life with Alex Iwobi

domwa77on

When Alex Iwobi launched his "Alex-press" initiative to support families in need, we at We*Designed Club were honoured to help tell this inspiring story through animation. Centred in Canning Town, the project provided food and essential items to struggling families, embodying community and generosity. Alex-press was about more than giving; it was about creating a ripple effect of hope.

Our animation reflected this mission, blending festive themes and vibrant visuals.

"We like to do something every Christmas to try and give back," Iwobi told BBC Africa. "Here, we're creating my own 'Alexpress', a little minimart to try and give out food to families that are not able to go and get food for their families at Christmas. "If I can help them celebrate a great Christmas, why not? Just seeing how my parents are, I've always seen them give back.

"And with that as role models, it's just made me feel like when I get in a position where I am today - or even if I was in less of a position - I would always try to do my best to give back and help out the less fortunate or people that are not able to eat."

The Creative Process

To bring Alexpress to life, we focused on:

Vivid Imagery: Using bold visuals to highlight positivity and generosity.

Seamless Transitions: Representing the efficient and inclusive nature of the initiative.

All The Christmas Cheer!

The Power of Design for Social Good

Design has the power to communicate, inspire, and create change. Through this animation, we amplified Alex Iwobi’s message, showing how simple ideas can turn into movements of hope.

We can’t wait to work on many more exciting social projects in 2025.

This project reminds us of the role creativity plays in driving action. If you’re ready to push your brand or cause forward, join We*Designed Club. Let’s create bold, impactful designs that bring your story to life.
